There’s a lot of great things about college. You become independent, you get to discover yourself, you curate your future…all that good stuff. The only thing I’m not a huge fan of? Financially supporting yourself. Suddenly you have to worry about student loans, rent payment, and groceries?! Even with a part time job, it’s hard to maintain a bank account with a comfortable balance. Because of that, I’ve had to cut down my clothes spending quite a bit (insert sad face here). I’ve had to get kind of creative with my outfit planning to make the most of my minimal wardrobe. Luckily most my clothes are black and white, so it’s fairly easy to mix them up.
For this look, I layered my favorite sweater on top of a black shift dress (with pockets!) to create a sophisticated, yet comfortable look. Black and silver metallic mules were the obvious shoe choice, and I topped it all off with my favorite choker and black and white clutch that I permanently borrowed from my mother’s closet. Thanks mom!
