When I hear the words “business casual”, I tend to cringe a bit. I’m a denim-loving gal, and denim doesn’t typically fit into business casual dress code. Since I have to abide by this dress code at work, and since I’ve been wearing the same two pairs of dress pants over and over again, I decided I needed to expand my professional wardrobe.
I don’t consider myself a person who is hard to please, but I do have standards when it comes to dress pants: black or gray in color, skinny or tapered leg, and real life pockets. It’s actually amazing how many dress pants don’t have real pockets #Rude.
At the end of the great dress pant search of 2017, I headed into Gap Factory in hopes they would deliver. There, I found the most perfect pair. The best way to classify them is as a business casual jogger. Extremely cute and very comfortable – two characteristics I quite enjoy in my clothing choices!
These pants are perfect because they’re great to wear with a blouse in the workplace, but you can also style them with a graphic tee and trainers for an amazing athleisure look! For todays’ look, I decided to go for an “office meets street style” vibe. The pants, blouse, and flats scream business casual, so I edged it up a bit with a mauve suede jacket and a choker. Amazing what a few details can do!
