Getting Down to (Blogging) Business

Down to Blogging Business

There are many milestones in every blogger’s life: Starting a blog, getting their own domain, receiving their first brand collaboration offer, the first time their blog gets over 100 page views in one day…the list goes on and on. There are also times that bloggers realize that they need to change the way they’ve been going about things. For some people, that means rebranding their whole site. For others, it might just be the way they promote their blog.

The crazy thing about it all is sometimes it’s completely unplanned. It could come spur of the moment when you wake up or when you’re checking out at Target. Me? I was inspired by someone I follow on Twitter. The other day, I was just scrolling (as one does), and stumbled upon one of Holly’s tweets. Holly is the blogger behind A Branch of Holly, and hot dang, you need some of this blog in your life. But I’m not here to write a whole post on her blog – you can head over there and bask in its awesomeness yourself. On Twitter, she was promoting her new (and free!) eBook called “Blogging Breakthrough”, and I was very intrigued. Let’s be honest though, you slap the word free onto the beginning of any sentence and you’ve got my attention. My cheapness aside, I decided it was worth checking out. And, friends? I. Was. So. Right.

As soon as you sign up for her email list, you get access to this absolute gem of an eBook. It’s essentially a 28 day challenge that will guide you in making your blog freakin’ FANTASTIC. If you’re anything like me, you might suffer from chronic “MUST DO EVERYTHING AT ONCE” syndrome, especially when it comes to improving your blog. Holly breaks things into small and manageable tasks, so you don’t need to check off a whole laundry list in one sitting. Honestly, it works wonders!

So what does that mean for Five Foot and Fabulous? Will I be rebranding? Am I going to change my blog life as I know it?

Nah.

It’s just that I’m not the happiest with my current blog stats, and this is the perfect way for me to raise them steadily and organically. Through small changes, I hope to make Five Foot and Fabulous the best it has ever been!

That being said, I have a favor to ask of YOU. Yes you, ya lil’ gem. As a part of the Blogging Breakthrough challenge, I made an audience survey. I want to hear what YOU think about Five Foot and Fabulous. It’s a quick and painless survey – I swear! And please, be honest when you take it. It won’t help me if you say everything great even when it’s not. Here’s the link in big letters just to emphasize it a bit:

Five Foot and Fabulous Audience Survey

Now that that’s out in the open, I want to tell y’all something else. Since I want to be held accountable for everything, I will be sharing everything I’ve been doing on the next couple of Monthly Musings. At the end of the recap of my personal life, I’ll give a quick overview of what I’ve been working on and any results I see from it.

I’m super excited to start this new chapter of Five Foot and Fabulous, especially since the domain name is almost a year old (omg). I hope y’all are pleased with the results!

And don’t you forget to take that survey either 🙂

  2. I’m going to check out that ebook right now! I’ve been blogging off and on for a few years now and I think it’s time for me to really make it into something bigger. I don’t think I need a rebrand, but I definitely need some new content and new strategies.
