5 Stylish And Affordable Petite Brands Worth Checking Out

specials

To my fellow petite girlies, don’t you find it extremely irritating when you go to the petite department and all you see is clothing that looks like something your weird great aunt would wear. And then, once you find something decent, it’s well over $100. I don’t know about you, but my college budget cries a little when it sees a price tag in the triple digits.

That’s when I retreat back to the junior’s section and try to find something that’s both small enough and appropriate for my age, which can be a great challenge sometimes. So I’ve decided to do a little research, and I found 5 brands that bring you the small sizes you need with the small price tag you want.

ASOS

Variety of Products: Top notch

Pricing: Across the board ($9 – $234)

If you haven’t heard of ASOS, you need to stop reading this, visit their website, and spend hours picking out your new wardrobe. If I could just connect this website to my closet, I would be the happiest girl in the world. Their huge selection of petite clothing is extremely stylish. They have their eponymous brand among dozens of others that cater to ladies 5’3″ and under. Depending on what kind of clothing you’re looking for, the prices vary, but they’re all very reasonably priced. You’re not going to be emptying your wallet for a simple shirt. The great thing about ASOS is that they have clothing for every body type, from petite to maternity. Plus, they carry clothing for all the men in your life. ASOS, you rock.

Variety of Products: Fantastic

Similar to ASOS, Topshop’s petite department is for women 5’3″ and under. They have a ton of fabulous options, with basic items in the $10 – $40 range and high quality, sophisticated clothing ranging $150 – $320. It’s slightly more expensive than ASOS, but the quality is great. Plus, all of the clothing is on trend so you never have to worry about being a season or more behind.

New Look
Variety of Products: Fantastic
Pricing: Reasonable ($3 – $62)

New Look is a very minimalistic, street style type of clothing that will give you an effortlessly cool look. The prices here are fabulous with the highest priced item being a black suede skirt at $62. That’s the kind of price tag that my bank account won’t cringe at. I’m currently in love with their collection of “Petite” graphic tees. This brand will make you proud to show off your petite stature!

Miss Selfridge
Variety of Products: Great
Pricing: Reasonable ($9 – $95)
Miss Selfridge is yet another European brand that’s doing petite clothing right. With a collection of over 150 pieces, you should be able to find at least one item that you love. Plus, nothing is over $100! What could be better? My personal favorite thing about this brand is their pretty neutral color scheme. If you take a look at my blog, you’ll see that a lot of the color I own is pretty subdued (with the exception of hot pink, of course).

Dorothy Perkins

Variety of Products: Fair

Pricing: Reasonable ($6 – $127)

Even though Dorothy Perkins has the least selection of petite clothing, I still love this brand. Everything they have is super feminine and chic with a ton of florals and pastel pinks (aka two of my favorite things in the whole world). They cater towards those who are 5’2″ and under, which I totally appreciate at a height of 5’1″. When I walked into this store last year in London, I fell in love. I definitely recommend doing a little online shopping here!

  1. I’m so glad I found your blog! Shopping for petite clothes is none too easy 😐 As you mentioned, Dorothy Perkins has a smaller amount of petite clothes; however, they do carry a lot of “short” length pants that I have been able to wear! It would depend on the location, but the Dublin Dorothy Perkins carries quite a few different styles in the “short” length 🙂

    1. Oooh really? That’s great to know! I have to do all my shopping online (the struggle of living in the United States), so they probably have a pretty good selection there!

      1. Since I moved back to Canada, I am also back to online shopping 🙁
